Hello I have a 1959 G-Plan dining room set that has some wear as you might expect of something of that age, mainly around the chair legs and on the backrests. I think that using a coloured furniture wax will improve the look of this wear. On looking at products available on the internet, I am confused about what to use and what will be best (bearing in mind I don't want to spend over about £25 in total as I plan to sell the set - I would love to keep them but I do not have the room). Can anyone tell me which types of wax are best? The chair legs are black and the chair backs are teak so I will need at least two different colours. The set is exactly like this set on eBay (apart from mine have the original upholstery): http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V… If anyone can give me advice on the best products to use, that would be a great help - there is so much available I have no idea where to start! I recently bought a beautiful small dining set which is made of untreated teak root....I have noticed that it was starting to crack in quite a few places so to stop it getting worse I have slapped a load of beeswax on it and buffed it in......will this do the trick? and should I use finishing wax on it.? many thanks.
